The genus Cyprinella is found in the fish family Cyprinidae - the minnow and carp family.
Minnows are small fishes, normally only a few inches in length. They live in many aquatic habitats, from streams and rivers to lakes and ponds.
The particular fish that this design was made from was a Spotfin Shiner, Cyprinella spiloptera. The native range of this species in the wild is primarily the northeastern quarter of the United States east of the Rocky Mountains, and neighboring Canada. This is a Great-Lakes region native species.
The design for this shirt was created from making a silhouette of a Spotfin Shiner from a photo we took of the species.

Made from specially spun fibers that make a very strong and smooth fabric that is perfect for printing. The "Natural" color is made with unprocessed cotton, which results in small black flecks throughout the fabric

Dual Printing Techniques
Sleeve prints (for Print Clever and Underground Threads) and inner neck labels are printed using Direct-to-Film (DTF) printing, ensuring crisp, detailed designs. Meanwhile, the remaining print areas are produced with Direct-to-Garment (DTG) printing.
Non-chlorine: bleach as needed; Do not iron; Do not dryclean; Machine wash: cold (max 30C or 90F); Tumble dry: low heat.
